Frank Ragnow threw his full support behind coach Matt Patricia a day after a disappointing loss at Green Bay and said the team could overcome its struggles.
“Hundred percent,” Ragnow, a 2018 first-round draft pick, told reporters Monday about his level of confidence in Patricia’s ability to lead the Lions back from an 0-2 start. “There’s a lot of aspects to a team, whether it’s coaching staff, players, a lot of support staff.
“…it really comes down to everybody doing our job. And that’s what really we need to start doing is everybody going out there — you don’t have to be a superhuman, you don’t have to do anything out of your body. Just do your job and execute and the results will take of itself.”

The Lions have started fast and taken double-digit leads in both of their losses. But a 14-3 lead fell apart in the first half Sunday against the Packers when a series of physical and mental errors led to a collapse. After the first play of the third quarter, Green Bay was up 10.
Ragnow said those mistakes were not indicative of the Lions’ capabilities.
“Honestly, what we’ve been doing a lot of, it has been mistakes that are not like ourselves,” the offensive lineman said. “I mean, I hate it’s so simple but doing your job — and not making those mistakes that are unlike you, you don’t make, or are simple or things that you’ve practiced and you’ve done and you’ve proven that you can do.
“And really it comes down to it: When you do your job and we get 11 guys doing their job each and every play, the results will take care of itself.”
