Justin Rogers’ 2021 NFL mock draft 3.0

Detroit News

Which way will the Detroit Lions go in the first round of the draft?

Will they select a quarterback at No. 7 or do they give Jared Goff a full season without a serious challenger to prove he’s capable of being the long-term solution under center? And if that’s the case, will they provide him with a pass catcher or another piece along the offensive line to give him the best chance to succeed in 2021?

Or, will the Lions not pick at their scheduled slot at all? Assuming a top quarterback prospect or two makes it to No. 7, surely there will be other teams looking to make a deal, providing general manager Brad Holmes additional draft assets to facilitate the early stages of the team’s rebuild.

Months of speculation finally comes to an end on Thursday evening, but just for fun, we thought we’d take one final stab at projecting the first round. Enjoy.
