Interview: Jamaal Williams chats about Lions’ ‘perfectly picked’ coaching staff

Pride of Detroit

We had previously welcomed Detroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams onto the PODcast earlier in the offseason. Clearly, a half hour with him wasn’t enough—neither for us nor for him—and before we knew it Williams was back with us again for another interview podcast.

We were thrilled to have Williams back, because he’s fantastic. Everything is on the table and he’s so full of energy and excitement that we can safely say we’ve had two great episodes with him now; even more talk about Lions football, food and nerdy pursuits.

When we last spoke with Williams, he hadn’t gotten to camp yet or even gotten to meet many of his coaches or fellow teammates. Now that he’s gone through OTAs, he’s ready to share his experiences so far with the team and what he hopes for the season, plus everything else that’s currently on his mind, including Harry Potter and his time in Detroit. This ended up even more free-flowing than last time, and we did get to sneak in some listener questions as well where we could.

If you want to catch the first interview we did with Williams, you can find our previous episode in the Pride Of Detroit archives, and the video is available on our Youtube channel.

Subscribe to the PODcast on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, or iHeartRadio. Follow Pride Of Detroit on Twitch to get notified when we record the PODcast live and chat with us. Video replays are available on both Twitch and YouTube.

If you prefer your interviews in a visual medium, you can watch our chat with Williams on our YouTube page or embedded below:
