Podcast: Top position battles we want to see in Lions preseason

Pride of Detroit

Our final PODcast episode before the Detroit Lions play football games for the rest of the year is here, and it feels great to think about all the pads colliding not far from the future. The team has their work cut out for them to slice down the roster from 90 players to 53 by the start of September. With that in mind, we’re turning our attention to the hottest positions and groups to examine where the toughest, fiercest fights could be.

That’s not all, because an actual fight happened during training camp and Dan Campbell said some things that sent people into a tizzy. Plus, Calvin Johnson got inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on a first ballot, and Alex Karras got in the Hall well after the fact. And speaking of Karras, one member of the PODcast has a ghastly record of Mel Brooks movies he hasn’t seen.

We’re dissecting it all on the latest episode of the PODcast. If you want to find a particular topic, we’ve provided a list of timestamps below the player. We’re gearing up for the season and there’s so much to be heard on our podcast feed and many live events on our Twitch channel, so please subscribe and follow!
