Join Pride of Detroit 2021 pick’em league, survivor pool

Pride of Detroit

Better late than never.

The Pride of Detroit Pick’em leagues are back for another season. It’s your opportunity to test your NFL knowledge against the most devoted Detroit Lions fans in the world. Annually, we hold two different leagues: a pick’em league against the spread and a Survivor Football league.

Both leagues will be using Yahoo Sports.

Here are the details:

Every week, you’ll be asked to make picks for every NFL game. You’ll have to do it against the Vegas spread. So if, say, the Lions are 7.5-point underdogs to the 49ers, you’ll have to decide whether the 49ers will win by more than 7.5 (Pick 49ers) or if the Lions will come within 7 points of the 49ers or even win (Pick Lions).

It’s important to note that this league goes through the postseason. So don’t quit after the regular season is over.

We’re also doing a Survivor Pool. In this league, you pick one winner per week in a game of your choosing. If you’re right, you’re still alive and active in the league. If that team loses, you’re out of the rest of the season. The trick here is that you can only use a team once for the entire season. So if you pick the Buccaneers to beat the Cowboys in Week 1 and they do, you can no longer select the Buccaneers in your Survivor Pool for the rest of the 2021 season.

Last one to survive wins.

Spaces are limited in both leagues, so it’s first come, first served. Get in there now and we’ll see who comes out on top this year.
