Lions vs. Packers 2021: Time, live stream info, TV schedule

Pride of Detroit

Both the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers are looking to rebound from disappointing Week 1 performances.

For the Lions, their 41-33 loss to the San Francisco 49ers wasn’t exactly unexpected. The team is going through a rebuild. As a result, their overturned roster is one of the youngest in the league and it showed last Sunday. Detroit’s defense couldn’t seem to stop Kyle Shanahan’s offense, while the Lions offense looked impotent at times with Jared Goff now behind center. There were positives—like the Lions’ solid offensive line and running game—and their late comeback spoke to the team’s spirit under new head coach Dan Campbell. But it’s also clear there’s plenty of work to do.

There weren’t as many positives to pull from the Packers’ season opener. No one had a worse offensive performance than Green Bay, who was outscored 38-3 against the New Orleans Saints. It got so bad last week that some are questioning Aaron Rodgers’ loyalties to the team following his drama-filled offseason. The story may have been even worse on defense, as the Packers allowed five touchdowns through the air and 171 yards on the ground.

Obviously, expectations remain much higher for the Packers this year. That much is clear simply looking at the Vegas line for this game, which has climbed into double digits throughout the week.

Here’s information on how to watch Monday night’s NFC North matchup, including how to catch the highly-entertaining “Manning Cast,” which features both Peyton and Eli Manning providing live commentary of the game.
