Lions on Hard Knocks: 3 characters we’re looking forward to most

Fansided

The Detroit Lions will be the NFL franchise featured on this season of HBO’s Hard Knocks.

Get your popcorn ready and watch your kneecaps because the Detroit Lions will be on HBO’s Hard Knocks.

For as cool as it would have been to see Matt Patricia tell everyone how smart he is while he tried to erase something off a laminated play sheet with his trusty No. 2 pencil, the Lions were in dire need of a makeover to even be presentable enough to appear on HBO’s Hard Knocks. This may be a rebuilding team, but they have a ton of heart and everyone will be rooting for them in the end.

Here are three stars to put on the poster to sell the heck out of this feel good hit of the summer.

Detroit Lions: 3 characters to watch unfold on this year’s HBO’s Hard Knocks

Jared Goff

QB Detroit Lions

Jared Goff is a seasoned professional, both at quarterback and on Hard Knocks

He never asked for this, but it will be the third time Jared Goff will be featured on the HBO program. Goff went from a sleepy California kid who did not know where the sun went to the leading man of this potential Hollywood blockbuster. He has know idea he is being groomed to be the next Ryan Gosling. Let’s just hope he does a better job of blocking than Gosling did for Denzel.

Jamaal Williams

RB Detroit Lions

Jamaal Williams will undoubtedly be the massive breakout star of this season

Jamaal Williams may have played for a bigger brand in the rival Green Bay Packers before, but he has the chance to be this summer’s breakout star. The former BYU running back will say some things when put in front of the microphone. He may not be the featured star in the backfield, but he is the necessary supporting character that will make the most out of this season of the show.

Dan Campbell

HC Detroit Lions

Dan Campbell will make your HBO subscription worth every last stinking penny

There are people with ideas, and then there are idiots. Whoever came up with the idea of putting Motor City Dan Campbell on premium television should see their annual salary quintuple because that is real man of genius stuff right there. Kneecaps will be bitten, but Starbucks stock will go through the roof after seeing Campbell down one of his ventis alongside Eminem or Iggy Pop.

While there are no guarantees if the Lions will win a ton of games this year, it is safe to say Campbell will be winning a Sports Emmy for his role on Hard Knocks. This will be better than Jeff Fisher talking about 7-9 B.S. or Rex Ryan telling people to go get a snack after crushing a sleeve of M&M’s. Campbell may just be another dude, man, but this dude really gets the big picture, man.

If Ted Lasso was coaching a real life professional football club, the 2022 Lions would be that team.
