Now that we know when the Detroit Lions will play their 17 regular season games, these five look like the most winnable.
The 2022 NFL regular seasons schedule is out, and the Detroit Lions are the only team that won’t get a prime time game. Going further, they have 15 games scheduled at 1 p.m. ET, with the Week 12 Thanksgiving Day game against the Buffalo Bills as he only sure exception and Week 18 at the Green Bay Packers to be determined.
The Lions have an easier-looking schedule than they had in 2021, if only by mileage traveled but also by opponent’s strength as it looks right now. Making the playoffs doesn’t feel likely, but doubling last year’s three wins feels like all but a lock. Many predictions elsewhere are landing the Lions at an 8-9 or 9-8 record.
The Lions have a fair chunk of games that look winnable on their 2022 slate. But are there any that look more winnable than the others? Why, indeed, yes there are.

5. Week 13 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars look to be on a better track, with Doug Pederson in place as a head coach who has experience dealing with NFL players and ready to treat them as such. But this year is only a step in the right direction in Jacksonville, not the entire leap to relevance if they get there.
This game could be a letdown game for the Lions, against a team they may not take seriously. But it’s hard to see Dan Campbell and his coaches letting that happen. It might be close for a while, but the Lions should pull away late and win by two scores.
