Lions holding steady as favorites over the Rams in a high-scoring game

USA Today

Many times, the opening betting line of a game winds up moving in one direction or another over the course of the first couple of days of action. Sunday night’s wild-card game between the Detroit Lions and visiting Los Angeles Rams is not one of those times.

After opening as 3.5-point favorites at BetMGM on Sunday night, the Lions are still 3-point favorites on Wednesday morning. Per the sportsbook, 64 percent of the money has been wagered on the Lions overall, and 59 percent of the wagers are on the Lions to cover the spread.

The over/under line on the game has bumped up from an opening of 50.5 to 51.5. It seems folks expect the matchup between Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford to be a high-scoring one. The Lions vs. Rams game is the only one of the six wild card weekend games with an over/under over 50 points.
