Last offseason Jared Goff went and worked with a quarterback guru ahead of training camp and he wound up having a pretty good season too. this offseason he married his longtime girlfriend and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Christen Harper and then went on a nice honeymoon in Greece.
Then he came back and worked with a quarterback guru yet again. Once again he’s working with coach Adam Deduaux from 3DQB. This is the same team he worked out with last year. By the way, he brought two friends with him to help catch passes. You might recognize them.
Yup, Lions’ receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and tight end Sam LaPorta are in Huntington Beach to work with their quarterback. This is a great sign for their development together.
St. Brown was with Goff and the gurus last year and the work St. Brown put in prompted Goff to text Ben Johnson and say “St. Brown. Huge year.”
Could Goff be sending that same text about Sam LaPorta this year? Even crazier, could it be about both? We’re going to find out pretty soon how big of an effect the offseason work together will have on the Lions offense.
