Two future bets on the Lions

The Lions were right there on the doorstep last season, blowing a late lead to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about Detroit’s run last year was that they were everyone’s betting darling heading into the season, and they delivered.
Basically the entire cast of characters is back, with Jared Goff leading an offense that includes Jahmyr Gibbs, David Montgomery, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Sam LaPorta, plus one of the NFL’s best offensive lines.
The defense has pieces throughout, though the team is putting quite a bit of trust in some of their young defenders (Brian Branch and Terrion Arnold in particular). Should they take the jump and perform, sky is the limit for the Lions.
