President Joe Biden is expected to announce in a speech the establishment of two new national monuments in California — he Chuckwalla National Monument and the Sáttítla Highlands National Monument. The announcement comes on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, less than a week before President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
