Aaron Glenn sacks Aaron Rodgers off the Jets

USA Today

One of Aaron Glenn’s greatest accomplishments as the defensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions was putting a bitter ending on Aaron Rodgers’ time in Green Bay. Glenn’s defense smothered the Packers offense in both meetings between the two teams in 2022, Rodgers’ final season in Green Bay. It was capped with safety Kerby Joseph picking off a bewildered, defeated Rodgers in his final pass in a Packers uniform.

It seems Glenn isn’t done kicking Rodgers around. As Jay Glazer of FOX Sports noted over the weekend, Glenn has no use for Rodgers in New York. The new Jets head coach is part of the braintrust that is “moving on” from the 41-year-old quarterback.

Dumping Rodgers leaves the Jets with only journeyman vet Tyrod Taylor and 2024 rookie Jordan Travis at quarterback entering free agency and the draft.
