We’ve reached the midway point of the 2020 season and things aren’t going great for the Detroit Lions. Then again, when are they ever?
The Lions fell to the Vikings on Sunday, 34-20, slipping back into the basement of the NFC North. The defense is now allowing nearly 400 yards per game, and, more importantly, opponents are averaging 30.0 points.
Offensively, the Lions have been nearly as inconsistent. The run game once again is lagging behind league average and the passing attack, despite a plethora of weapons, is middling.
But it’s annual tradition around these parts to provide a report card this point in the year, so here we are. Let’s check in on the individual parts of the whole to figure out how the Lions have reached this point.
