Rams: Jared Goff throws shade at Sean McVay on way out of LA

Jared Goff clearly took a shot at Sean McVay after he was traded by the Los Angeles Rams to the Detroit Lions.

On Saturday, the monster news that the Lions had traded Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams came as a massive surprise. Even more so, Jared Goff was shipped to Detroit as part of the deal.

As you might imagine, the former first-overall pick was not too pleased when he found out he was leaving LA. Matter of fact, Goff decided to take a parting shot as his now-former head coach Sean McVay.

Jared Goff didn’t hold back following his trade to the Detroit Lions

“I’m just excited to be somewhere that I know wants me and appreciates me,” Goff said when discussing his move to the Lions.

Those are the words of someone who is not happy whatsoever with how things played out in Los Angeles. Goff was all set to be the franchise signal-caller for years to come, as he had signed a four-year, $134 million deal with the organization.

Goff helped lead the Rams to the Super Bowl in February of 2019, but his play has no question dipped quite a bit ever since the memorable campaign. This season, Goff closed things out throwing for 3,952 yards, 20 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Unfortunately for the Rams, their season came to a close in the Divisional Round of the playoffs with a loss to the Packers.

LA stunned Seattle in the Wild Card Round, 30-20, but were unable to record another upset when they went to Lambeau Field. In that loss, Goff tossed for only 174 yards and a touchdown. Now, he’ll hope to try and get the Lions back on track in the Motor City. As for the Rams, fans are fired up for Stafford getting ready to run the offense.
