The Detroit Lions begin Monday on the same quest that they’ve started every Monday for the better part of three months, getting their first win on the season.

After striking out on Thanksgiving Day against the Chicago Bears, the Lions will look to get win No. 1 on the season against another NFC North rival, the Minnesota Vikings.

This is the second of two games the teams will play in the regular season, the first was in Minneapolis that saw the Lions lose in dramatic fashion by a score of 19-17 on Oct. 10, 2021.

The Vikings are in the quagmire that is the NFC’s wild card picture after their loss on Sunday to the San Francisco 49ers. When the Vikings and Lions link up on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m. on CBS, there will be a sense of desperation in the air within the walls of Ford Field.

Before all of that, Lions head coach Dan Campbell will kick off the week by speaking with the media to give updates on injuries and any other potential news.

Follow along as Campbell takes the podium at 2:15 p.m.
