Lions Injury Report: Vaitai Out, Onwuzurkie Doubtful

The Detroit Lions wrapped up a week of practices on Friday and they’re pretty healthy right now outside of few guys that might not play Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. Here’s this weeks game designations. 

  • Halopoulivaati Vaitai: Out
  • Levi Onwuzurkie: Doubtful
  • Donovan Peoples-Jones: Questionable 
  • Dan Skipper: Questionable

Halapoulivaati Vaitai will miss Sunday’s game. He’s been ruled out with a back injury. Vaitai did practice on Tuesday and Thursday, but he was held out on Friday. Vaitai’s back has been a problem for a while now. It kept him out for the entire 2022 season and part of this season. We’ll see where things go there. 

Levi Onwuzruike was added to the injury report on Thursday with a hip injury. He is doubtful to play Sunday. Donovan Peoples-Jones is also questionable, but recent Lions comments make it seem like his debut might be next week. 

As for the Chargers, Joey Bosa showed up on the injury report Thursday with an illness.
