Lions make roster moves ahead of Saints game

It’s Saturday. You know what that means. It’s time for the Detroit Lions to make their roster moves ahead of their next game. This week we’ve got some big things to talk about. Here’s what the Lions did Saturday.

Elevated Bruce Irvin from practice squad

Here we go. After a couple weeks of getting in with the team and getting ready to play football again, we’re going to see Bruce Irvin’s debut with the Lions on Sunday. Dan Campbell has constantly raved about the shape that Irvin is in since the Lions signed him. We’ll get our first look at that as well. Irvin has not played in a game since the playoffs last year when he was with the Seahawks. Let’s see if he can help this pass rush and help Aidan Hutchinson.

Elevated Quinton Bohanna to active/inactive list

This is the third week in a row that Bohanna has been elevated. He had a good showing against the Bears, but had a not so good showing against the Packers. Looks like the Lions want to take another look. What could this mean for Isaiah Buggs. He’s been a healthy scratch the last two games. There’s a chance this could be three in a row.
