Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield threw an interception to Lions cornerback C.J. Gardner-Johnson on the second drive of the game giving Detroit some momentum after going 3-and-out to start the game. The ensuing drive by Detroit resulted in a field goal. After an 8-play drive and an answering field goal from the Bucs, the Lions scored again on a nine-yard touchdown pass to Josh Reynolds.

Thanks to a missed field goal in the second quarter, the Lions led 10-3 just before the half but Mayfield tossed a touchdown pass to Cade Otton to tie it up at 10-10.

Detroit jumped out ahead in the second half with a one-yard touchdown run by Craig Reynolds. It didn’t take the Buccaneers long to answer via a 12-yard touchdown catch and run by Rachaad White.
