Lions were in contact with Cameron Sutton before his release, urged him to turn himself in

The next day they decided to release Sutton from the team. At this point, Sutton has not turned himself in yet and the Hillsbourgh County Sheriffs have not been able to locate him.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin also said he tried to reach out to the former Steeler at the league meetings Monday morning. When asked if he was able to make contact with him, Tomlin said “none of your business.”

The story is ongoing and once we have some word that Sutton has been caught or turned himself in, we’ll be sure to update Lions fans at that time. Until then, he’s off the team and the Lions will move forward with their next idea.
