Aidan Hutchinson set a great pass-rushing mark in Week 4

USA Today

Aidan Hutchinson didn’t get a sack against Geno Smith on Monday night. It was not from a lack of effort or effective pressure from Hutchinson during the Lions’ 42-29 win over Smith’s Seahawks.

According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Hutchinson broke the 2024 single-game mark for QB pressures by a player in Detroit’s victory. Next Gen Stats credited Hutchinson with 10 QB pressures in the game on 54 pass rush attempts.

The dime against Seattle raised Hutchinson’s season-long total to 25, which also leads the league. Pressures are a subjective analytical statistic, so the total numbers might differ across various sites.

For reference, the Lions offense only ran 53 total plays in the win over Seattle. That’s some serious pressure on a massive workload from Hutchinson.
