Lions best bets vs. Cowboys in Week 6 matchup

USA Today

The Detroit Lions return from the bye week and head to Dallas to face the Cowboys. Even with the game in Dallas, a place where the Lions have lost five games in a row, Detroit is favored to prevail in the Week 6 matchup.

At BetMGM, the 3-1 Lions are currently favored by three points over the 3-2 Cowboys for Sunday’s late afternoon game at AT&T Stadium. The straight moneyline on the game is -180 for the Lions, one of the higher totals on the NFL slate this weekend.

Best bet

For the Lions, the player rushing props for both David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are both appealing. Dallas enters the game allowing 135 yards per game on the ground and 4.4 yards per carry. They’re also ranked near the bottom in tackling grade by PFF.

That all sets up nicely for the Lions running combo. The over/under line for rushing yards for Montgomery and Gibbs is the same, at 57.5. That’s below the per-game average for both Gibbs (71.3) and Montgomery (68), and the Lions offense doesn’t play favorites in dishing out carries.

Other props to favor

Jameson Williams over 46.5 receiving yards

Lions over 27.5 total points

Jared Goff under 245.5 passing yards
