Lions heavily favored to end their Thanksgiving drought

USA Today

The Detroit Lions haven’t won their annual Thanksgiving showcase game since 2016. Three of those holiday losses have come at the hands of the Chicago Bears, this week’s opponent in Ford Field on Thursday.

The 10-1 Lions are favored to feast on the fading 4-7 Bears, losers of five games in a row. At BetMGM, Detroit is an early 10.5-point favorite to taste sweet victory in Thursday’s 12:30 matchup between the first-place and last-place teams in the NFC North. The straight moneyline for the game sees the Lions at -650, meaning a bettor would have to wager $650 to win $100.

On the season, the Lions are a league-best 9-2 in covering the point spread. The Bears are 6-5, including a “win” in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Vikings.
