Will Taylor Decker play for the Lions against the Packers on Thursday? Latest injury update for the Lions’ left tackle

Yardbarker

The Detroit Lions play a big prime time divisional game on against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night and everyone has their eyes on whether or not the Lions will have starting left tackle Taylor Decker in this game.

Decker went down in Week 12 against the Colts when he got rolled up on from behind and suffered a knee injury. He was not able to make the short turnaround and play against the Bears on Thanksgiving, but will he be able to play against the Packers? Here’s what we know so far.

On Sunday Lions’ head coach Dan Campbell had this to say on Decker: “Better and better. I still think he’s day-to-day. I think it’ll come down to the wire with him whether he can go or not this week. He’s certainly better.”

That seemed like a positive, but then on Monday Campbell did an interview with Costa and Jansen on 97.1 The Ticket and had more of a negative outlook. At least for Monday.

“Decker, he’s not ready to practice today. You know, he’s improving. He’s gotten better every day, every week, but I don’t see him practicing.”

So that’s where we’re at right now. We’ll continue to monitor the situation as the week goes on and we’ll update this story. You can also keep track of all the Lions injuries in our injury tracker below.
