‘He heard me talk to other players the same way’ Former Steelers head coach weighs in on Antwaan Randle El disciplining Lions’ receiver Jameson William’s on Thanksgiving

We’ve all been there right? Who hasn’t gotten that hand gesture from their father? The one that says “don’t test me” or “that’s enough.” That’s exactly what Detroit Lions‘ receiver coach Antwaan Randle El did to Jameson Williams on Thanksgiving after Williams had a costly unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Here’s the video:

Everyone got a kick out of this whole thing because it’s something that seems so familiar to everyone who’s had their dad be upset with them. Even former Steelers’ head coach Bill Cowher, who won a Super Bowl with Randle El in 2006 thought it was funny. 

He did a commentary on the incident on TikTok this week and said that he never had trouble with Randle El, but that his former receiver defintley saw him talk to other players that way. Check out the video below.
