Former Lions fan favorite Dan Skipper clearly disagreed.
After years of being waived, released, signed, elevated, and sent back to practice squads across the NFL, Skipper finally earned his opportunity in Detroit. From 2022 through 2025, he became one of the Lions’ most respected locker room stories, appearing in 56 games, making 16 starts, and even catching a touchdown.
Was Brady right about some players… or is Skipper proof that plenty of guys never stop chasing their shot?
