The 2024 NFL Combine is in full swing and we’ve already seen some pretty impressive performances. So far, we have identified the top standouts on the interior defensive linemen, among the edge rushers, and off-the-ball linebackers. Today, we take a closer look at the cornerbacks who had standout performances on Friday.

The Detroit Lions were the recipients of the 2023 “Best Draft Award” as presented by Inside The League. The award was voted on by fellow NFL scouts. Lions general manager Brad Holmes—plus a ton of his front office staff—were on hand at the NFL Combine to accept the award.

The NFL Combine kicked off its televised coverage on Thursday and three positional groups performed on-field drills. So far, we have already identified the top standouts on the interior defensive linemen and among the edge rushers, and now it’s time to take a closer look at the off-the-ball linebackers who had standout performances.

Last week, the Detroit Lions handed Jalen Reeves-Maybin a two-year deal which was categorized as the biggest contract ever given to a primarily special teams player. Given his late-season defensive contributions, I don’t think that’s a completely fair way to categorize Reeves-Maybin, but it is a decent contract for the veteran.
