Best Detroit Lions bets for Week 10 at Chicago Bears

SideLion Report

As you lock in your betslips for Week 10 NFL action, here are three best bets on the Detroit Lions to try and cash in on.

As is custom, before diving into this week’s best Detroit Lions bets, let’s see how Week 9’s best bets did.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, 80-plus receiving yards (+124, FanDuel): 55 yards
Jared Goff, Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (+100, DraftKings): Two touchdown passes
Lions, Moneyline (+172, FanDuel; +155 DraftKings): Win, 15-9

As Meatloaf once sang, “Two out of three ain’t bad”…..especially when they were both plus-money.

The Lions will look to make it back-to-back wins Sunday against the Chicago Bears on the road. The over/under (48.5) is one of the highest on the Week 10 slate, with the spread favoring the Bears by the general margin that accounts for home field (-3).

With odds from the sportsbook noted, here are Week 10’s best Detroit Lions bets to try and cash in on.

Detroit Lions best bets for Week 10 at Chicago Bears

Jamaal Williams, Anytime touchdown (+100, BetMGM)

Williams did not score against his former team in Week 9, but his eight rushing touchdowns on the season is still among the league leaders.

The Bears have allowed 12 total touchdowns to running backs this season (tied for second-most in the league), including 10 rushing (tied for third-most in the league).

It’s overall a very good matchup for Williams (and D’Andre Swift too) in Week 10. A bet on Williams to score is an easy one, and other places it’s not plus-money. If you wanted to get more aggressive, a bet on him to score the first touchdown in the game (which he has done a couple times this season) would pay out handsomely.

Jamaal Williams, 70-plus rushing yards (+152, FanDuel)

D’Andre Swift is off the injury report this week, and he was not thrilled with his workload against the Packers in Week 9. But what hisworkload will be against the Bears is at unclear, setting Williams up for ample work once again.

Chicago is allowing 4.8 yards per carry to running backs this season, and they had Roquan Smith and Robert Quinn for part of that time. If Williams gets 16 carries on Sunday and averages 4.5 per, both possibly low-end numbers, he hits the over here.

Jared Goff, Under 33.5 pass attempts (-105, BetMGM; -102, FanDuel)

The Lions should be able to run the ball just fine against the Bears, and Goff’s track record in cold weather games isn’t great.

Below 40 degrees air temp (six career games): 5 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, 5.7 yards per attempt, four fumbles

Game script may push passing volume in a potentially high-scoring contest. But ideally, if the Lions have their way, Goff will not get to 34 or more pass attempts.

Note: Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
