Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell news conference: Live updates

Detroit Free Press

The Detroit Lions are rolling.

Sunday’s win over the first-place Minnesota Vikings gives the Lions five wins in the past six games and solidifies their spot as a true wild-card contender. They’re a game up on three 5-8 teams and trail only the 7-6 Seattle Seahawks — who are a half-game behind the third wild-card slot-holding New York Giants — outside of the playoff field.

Jared Goff (27-for-39, 330 yards and three touchdowns) was masterful in carving up Minnesota and though Justin Jefferson (11 catches for 223 yards) went bonkers, Detroit’s defense did enough to bring home another win. And don’t forget about the gutsy fake-punt call that picked up a key second-half first down, too.

Seidel:Lions’ Jameson Williams tries to ‘go to the crib every time.’ So far, he’s 1-for-1

Monarrez:Don’t look now, but Lions are one of NFL’s most daring and dangerous teams

Next up for the Lions is a road game vs. the 7-6 New York Jets, who lost Sunday, 20-12, to the division-rival Buffalo Bills. Follow along below as Campbell talks to reporters Monday in Allen Park:
