Lions Super Bowl odds following free agency spending spree

SideLion Report

The Detroit Lions were one of the biggest overachievers in the 2022 NFL season, shocking many en route to a 9-8 record.

Now, the Lions are trying to sustain their fine play and build around the foundation of what could be a playoff contender for years to come by spending some precious salary cap on quality talent such as cornerbacks C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Emmanuel Mosley as well as running back David Montgomery.

The Lions odds to be successful next season, not only Super Bowl but NFC North, has been evolving quickly. With Aaron Rodgers on his way out Green Bay and the division ripe for the taking, and Detroit is now the favorite to win the NFC North for the first time since 1993.

However, there’s more to it, the Lions are being seen as contenders to win the Super Bowl by betting markets, now the fourth choice out of the NFC at +2500, trailing only the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys.

With a mass exodus of talent over the last few years in the conference, as well as Detroit’s meteoric rise and favorable cap situation, this is the highest expectation the team has had in more than two decades.
