Amon-Ra St. Brown lands well in Pro Football Focus fantasy dynasty ranking

SideLion Report

In that context Amon-Ra St. Brown is the ideal combination of productive thus far and young, and he lands nicely in Pro Football Focus’ latest fantasy football dynasty rankings.

It’s not breaking news, but Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has been quite productive over his first two NFL seasons. He’s also naturally been a fantasy football asset, helping win a lot of leagues with his closing stretch as a rookie. Then last year, he was a top-10 fantasy receiver despite missing all or a significant part of three games.

The question over where St. Brown ranks as a fantasy wide receiver in the dynasty league realm is an interesting one.

In February, Fantasy Data poses a True-False question asking if St. Brown is a top-12 dynasty wide receiver. Of course the answer is True, at least for most people.

Amon-Ra St. Brown lands in fairly lofty spot in new fantasy football dynasty ranking

Nathan Jahnke of Pro Football Focus recently released version 2.0 of his 2023 fantasy football dynasty rankings, with some incoming rookies in even though we don’t yet know what team they’ll be on.

St. Brown lands 11th overall in the ranking, and as the sixth wide receiver. Which wide receivers are ahead of him? You can probably guess.

Justin Jefferson (No. 1 overall, WR1)
JaMarr Chase (No. 3 overall, WR2)
CeDee Lamb (No. 6 overall, WR3)
Chris Olave (No. 8 overall, WR4)
Garrett Wilson (No. 9 overall, WR5)

Right after St. Brown in the ranking is fellow wide receivers A.J. Brown and Drake London. Incoming rookie Jaxson Smith-Njigba and Jaylen Waddle round out the top-10 wide receivers, with Tyreek Hill and Cooper Kupp the other wide receivers in the top-20 overall.

St. Brown can’t usurp Lamb in a fantasy ranking of any kind, at least not yet. But there is a case for him to be above at least one of Olave and Wilson in dynasty if we’re talking PPR scoring.

St. Brown is pretty easily a top-12 player in dynasty, among all positions. His place among wide receivers in dynasty is a little more fluid and subjective, but he’s undoubtedly top-10 at his position no matter where you look for rankings.
