Lions make some roster moves ahead of Bucs game

Week 6 is here for the Detroit Lions. With that comes the Lions usual Saturday roster shuffling. The Lions made a handful of moves This week. Let’s talk about them.

Place Emmanuel Moseley and Zonovan Knight on injured reserve

We all knew this move was coming all week. It’s a real shame too. Both had promising futures in Detroit in their own ways. Now the question is will they play for the Lions again? Both were on one year deals with the Lions.

Knight should be a guy that the Lions give another shot to next year when he’s healed up. As for Moseley, he likely has a long way to go before he can play football again. I don’t know who that will be with when it happens.

Elevated Devine Ozigbo to active/inactive list

With both Knight and Jahmyr Gibbs out, the Lions are elevating Ozigbo up to take their place. He worked with both Dan Campbell and Aaron Glenn in New Orleans. This will be his first regular season game since Week 15 when he was with the Broncos last season.

Signed Dan skipper to active roster from practice squad

with Jonah Jackson out, the Lions need some depth on their offensive line. Skipper played two games at guard last season. He’ll likely come off the bench if needed Sunday.

Activate Khalil Dorsey from injured reserve

Dorsey went on IR after a pretty solid Week 1 performance. He returned earlier in the week and the Lions started his 21 day clock. Much like Julian Okwara last week, Dorsey didn’t need the 21 days. He’s activated and back on the Lions roster. Will he be active on Sunday? We’ll soon see. It’s a good time to return though with Mosley now being out for the season.
