Lions elevate long snapper for Chargers game

USA Today

The Detroit Lions didn’t need to do much roster tinkering on the day before the team’s trip to Los Angeles to face the Chargers. With a relatively healthy roster coming out of the bye week, the Lions only needed one minor tweak before heading on west in Week 10.

It’s an important one, however. With regular long snapper Scott Daly now on injured reserve, the Lions needed some to handle snapping duties. As expected, the Lions promoted Jake McQuaide from the practice squad to the active roster.

McQuaide was signed to the practice squad over the bye. He was in training camp with Detroit, and the 35-year-old has over a decade of NFL experience.

There aren’t any late injury status changes this week.
