Josh Reynolds has a big opportunity to make some extra money Sunday

It’s incentive season around the NFL and now is the time for players to make some extra money by hitting some of the incentives in their contract by the end of the season. Three Detroit Lions triggered their Proven Performance Escalators earlier in the week when they were voted into the Pro Bowl. One more Lion has a pretty good chance to hit two incentives against the Vikings on Sunday.

Josh Reynolds needs one more touchdown to trigger his six touchdown incentive and he’ll get an extra $250,000. He hasn’t had a touchdown since the Lions second matchup with the Bears. The other incentive is that he is 36-yards away from a his 600 yard incentive. If he hits that incentive on Sunday, he’ll get another $250,000.

So there you go. If Reynolds has a 36-yard and one touchdown game, he’ll have a nice half a million dollar raise going into the playoffs.

Sunday is the perfect day to do it too. The Lions have been sort of going away from Reynolds and targeting Jameson Williams more in the last few weeks. Now that Williams is out for this game, that will open the door for more Josh Reynolds targets. He might be able to hit the yard one fast considering that the majority of Josh Reynolds catches this season are big ones. He’s had at least one catch of 20 yards or more in eight games this season and he’s averaging 16.1 yards per reception.
