Detroit Lions News: Brock Wright Leaves? Cam Sutton Turns Himself In, Jake Bates To Lions?

Lions Nation Unite
Former Detroit Lions cornerback Cameron Sutton has turned himself in to the Hillsborough County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office after a warrant for his arrest was issued earlier this month.

Sutton was allegedly involving an altercation earlier this month on March 7 that resulted in him being charged with Domestic Battery by Strangulation. After nearly two weeks, of not being able to contact Sutton, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) took to social media on March 20 to see if the public had any information on his whereabouts.

4. WR Antoine Green
Green was an interesting seventh-round flier by the Lions in the 2023, with a faint idea he could have a path to a notable role immediately. That did not come close to happening. He was active for the first nine regular season games last season, with one catch on two targets. In perhaps the most telling thing, with the team being as good as it was, 33 of his 106 offensive snaps came in the blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens and was a healthy scratch for the rest of the regular season after Week 10. He did play a little in all three playoff games.

3. DT Levi Onwuzurike
It’s easy to forget that Onwuzurike, despite sitting out his final season at Washington due to the COVID-19 pandemic, landed as a first-round pick in some late 2021 mock drafts. The Lions took him in the second round, and he battled through a lingering back injury to play 16 games as a rookie.

2. RB Craig Reynolds
The Lions clearly like Reynolds, bringing him back over and over, since he is a personification of what Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes want the team to be about. And when he has gotten an opportunity for a big offensive role, most notably for a few games during the 2021 season, he has often been productive. He is a core special teamer, which shouldn’t be discounted.

1. K Michael Badgley
The Lions are starting to play back last year’s record when it comes to the kicker spot, re-signing Badgley before free agency even started this time around. But Holmes promised competition will be added, and the Lions’ general manager certainly knows that competition has to be more robust than last year’s “competition” for Badgley (John Parker Romo signed out of the XFL, re-acquiring Riley Patterson in May).
