Lions bring in Michigan receiver Roman Wilson for a pre-draft visit

There was nobody that at any position that impressed more than Michigan receiver Roman Wilson. He was beating everyone and catching everything. It was a site to behold. Apparently the Detroit Lions really liked what they saw. They recently brough him in for a pre-draft visit.

This is not the only time that Wilson has been in with the Lions lately. He was also one of the attendees at the Lions Local Pro day on April 9th.

The Lions are expected to be interested in drafting a receiver this year, but the expectation was more so that they would draft more of an X receiver. Wilson’s speed is up there and he is definitely dangerous, but he’s quite small at 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds. Not exactly the big bodied X guy the Lions have been talking to and looking at through most of the process.

Wilson is expected to be a day two pick and the Lions could realistically have a shot to grab him with either their 61st or 73rd picks. If they do, it would really have to make you wonder what the team plans to do with guys like Kalif Raymond, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Antoine Green and Tre-Quan Smith.
