Lions Uniforms LEAKED, The Black Uniforms Are Back! Brad Holmes Press Conference Takeaways

While the Detroit Lions are set to reveal their new uniforms on Thursday night in an event at Ford Field, it appears the jersey has leaked well before the launch. In a Fanatics promotional post at USA TODAY blog Lions Wire, they revealed several photos of what appears to be the new Lions jerseys.

UPDATE: Lions Wire has now removed the post.

The set includes a classic blue jersey with the block letters that the team hinted at early in the week, a white uniform that doesn’t look too much different than their current set, and, most notably, a black uniform with blue numbering that many fans have been clamoring for since Detroit moved away from that design in 2017.

While the team has not officially confirmed that these are the new uniforms, there seems to be enough indication that these new jerseys match what was hinted at in previous promotional videos from the team.

While it is a bit disappointing that these jerseys have leaked ahead of time, there are still some things left to see. The pants options have yet to be revealed. Team president Rod Wood hinted at a tweak in their alternate helmet design. And we’ll hear more about the process the Lions took to get these done over the past seven years.
