To continue playing with them, the quarterback is already in talks for a satisfactory extension with the Lions, and the franchise, as well, isn’t hesitating in making a major investment in the quarterback.

During a recent appearance on RG3 and The Ones podcast, St. Brown was asked to share his thoughts on whether Goff deserves the fancy annual number of $45 million, which he is expected to receive in his next extension, via MLive.com

He’s accurate, he commands the offense, all the stuff you want in a quarterback. When you look at the Detroit Lions’ history, I mean, when’s the last time we went this deep in the playoffs, won this many games? When we first got there, like I said, we only won three games. So to see what he’s done with this Detroit football team from two years, three years ago to now; he’s winning games. Said  St. Brown praising QB Goff

The Lions’ receiver highlighted that Goff is doing his job as a quarterback, which is winning games while also recording stats equivalent to the top quarterbacks in the league.

He’s worth every dollar that he gets and I can’t wait for him to get paid and be a part of his future for a very long time. Added St. Brown

Jared Goff likely to join the league’s highest-paid quarterbacks

As per AVV, the Lions quarterback is ranked 16th on the list of highest-paid quarterbacks. But with his potential extension, which the Lions are all in for a huge investment, Goff is likely to climb up the ladder and establish his name among the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league.

The new contracts of quarterbacks are increasing rapidly in the league as the franchises are willing to invest a good sum of money to lock them in. And given the Lions’ success under Goff in the league, they aren’t ready to lose him so easily.

Goff is already counted among the top QBs courtesy of his postseason success and consistent passing production individually.
