Detroit Lions are favored in 13 games for their 2024 schedule

We all know there’s a lot of time between now and the start of the NFL season so anything can happen. However, yesterday was the NFL Schedule release for every team across the league.

The Detroit Lions have 6 games in prime time, if you include the game on Thanksgiving. Additionally, the Lions only play 6 games in the 1pm window on Sunday’s this fall.

According to the NFL, the Lions have the 11th toughest schedule this season. That strength of schedule is based off the opponent’s win percentage from the 2023 season. The opponent win percentage for the Lions is .509 from last season.

That said, the Lions are favored in 13 of their 17 games for this season. Under Dan Campbell, the Lions are 36-17 against the spread, the best record in the NFL over that span (since 2021). DraftKings Sportsbook has set the win total at 10.5 for the Lions ahead of the 2024 season.
