Former Detroit Lions defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs was certainly a player that a lot of Lions fans held in regard during his time in Detroit. Even in 2023 when he spent must of the season benched. That regard is likely to turn to ire since Buggs is now facing two misdemeanor warrants for second-degree cruelty to dogs per the Tuscaloosa Patch

Buggs lease on a house in Tuscaloosa was recently terminated since he hadn’t been paying his rent. He moved out of the location on March 19th and left two dogs in the back porch area. One of which was left in a cage in direct sunlight. Neither of the dogs had food or water until they were found malnourished, emaciated and covered in feces on March 28th.

One of the dogs had to be put down, the other is dealing with severe malnourishment. A full grown rottweiler that only weighs 52 pounds. That is a dangerously low weight for that breed per the Metro Animal Shelter in Tuscaloosa.

Buggs was with the Lions for two seasons and it looked like his second season would be a big one after 2022 until he skipped offseason workouts and got benched by the team. He was released in January right before the playoffs. He wound up going to the Chiefs and was on the practice squad for the remainder of the year.
