C.J. Gardner-Johnson gives a date that he will be back with the Lions this season

The Detroit Lions wowed everyone when they signed C.J. Gardner-Johnson. It was a rare moment when one of the best free agents decided to come to Detroit. Gardner-Johnson immediately showed that he could be a vocal lead on the Lions defense and that he was heading up the teams villain era.

Sadly things didn’t last long as Gardner-Johnson tore his pectoral muscle early on into the second game of the Lions season. The prognosis on that was good. The tear was clean and it was the type of tear that J.J. Watt suffered at the beginning of the 2019 season. Watt was able to return and the idea has been that Gardner-Johnson would return too.

But when? Well, Gardner-Johnson gave Lions fan an idea of when he’d be back this year on Instagram Live on Friday morning.
